Philadelphia Eagles vs Kansas City Chiefs – Sunday, 11:30pm

The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles meet on Sunday in the Super Bowl’s first clash between two first seeds since the Eagles defeated the New England Patriots in 2018. The sides have had remarkably similar campaigns up to this point, both earning a 16-3 overall record with each scoring 546 points and having six players selected to the All-Pro team, including their respective quarterbacks.

State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona will play host as the Chiefs and quarterback Patrick Mahomes go for their second Super Bowl win in four years.

Led by head coach Nick Sirianni, the Eagles have made it past the Divisional Round for the first time in four years after clinching the top seed and a first-round bye with a 14-3 regular season record.

Despite dealing with a high ankle injury suffered in the Divisional Round victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Championship Round saw Mahomes lead his team to a three-point win over last year’s Super Bowl runners-up the Cincinnati Bengals with a 326-yard and two-touchdown performance.

The Eagles’ playoff route has been more comfortable, first decimating NFC East rivals the New York Giants before following it up with a 24-point Championship Round defeat of a San Francisco 49ers team who suffered in-game injuries to multiple quarterbacks. Sirianni’s side definitely holds the advantage in terms of player health heading into the NFL’s curtain closer. No players were listed as questionable in the Eagles’ latest injury report, while there are doubts over a number of Chiefs players.

Kansas’ biggest worry will be regarding the wide receiver position, with Mecole Hardman ruled out of the game with a pelvis injury and JuJu Smith-Schuster and Kadarius Toney both listed as questionable.

Outside linebacker Willie Gay’s status is also up in the air but Andy Reid has received some positive news this week as starting corner L’Jarius Sneed cleared concussion protocol and has declared himself ready to play after coming out of the Championship Round on just the fourth snap of the game.
