He has a strong record against Grigor Dimitrov, winning six out of the nine previous matches played between them. However, Dimitrov managed to beat Medvedev in their last encounter on indoor hardcourt in Paris last year, ending Medvedev’s three consecutive wins against him.

In the first two rounds of the Indian Wells tournament, Dimitrov defeated Alexandre Muller and 21st seed Adrian Mannarino, without losing a set. Now, he has progressed to the last 16 and is looking to continue his impressive form.
